Join Migrations: A Cultural Dinner & Dance Experience, a weekly Friday evening event at Maui Ocean Center that honours the diverse tapestry of stories from Hawaiʻi’s past. Starting at Seascape Restaurant over an international buffet dinner (6:00-7:00 PM) featuring dishes like Waihee mixed greens, poke, Moloka‘i sweet potato salad, adobo fried rice, kalbi-style beef, fish jun, and island-style desserts such as haupia and lilikoi cake. After dinner, from 7:00-8:30 PM, enjoy a performance filled with dance, live storytelling, traditional and contemporary movement celebrating cultures including Hawai‘i, Japan, Philippines, China, Korea, Spain, Tahiti, and beyond.
Created by Maui cultural artist Keoni Manuel, this experience weaves together music, dance, costume, and story to give guests not just entertainment, but a deeper appreciation for the communities and history that shaped Hawaiʻi. With Seascape’s beautiful setting by Māʻalaea Harbor, cool tropical evening breezes, and table service in a relaxed but elegant atmosphere, Migrations is perfect for both visitors and kamaʻāina looking to immerse themselves in Hawaiian cultural richness.
