Overview

The Upgraded Tours offer a deeper dive into the Battleship Missouri’s storied history and inner workings. For example, the "Captain’s Tour" grants entry to areas typically off-limits: the Captain’s in-port cabin (once hosting President Truman and other dignitaries), the ship’s Combat Engagement Center (modern weapon systems), and Gun Turret #1. Another upgrade called the “Heart of the Missouri” or Chief Engineer’s Tour gives access to the boiler rooms, engine rooms and other machinery spaces showing where the power of this battleship was generated. These tours are perfect for history buffs or visitors wanting a more detailed, behind-the-scenes experience aboard this iconic vessel.
