Overview

The Kahanu Garden Guided Tour enhances the self-guided experience with expert local guides who share mo‘olelo (stories) about ancient Hawaiʻi, including the life of Chief Pi‘ilāni. The tour reveals archaeological features that you won’t, or may miss, on your own, and gives context to the plant life—how plants were used in daily life, medicine, and culture. This 2-hour guided tour meets at Kahanu Garden in Hāna, Maui, and occurs every Friday, though guests should check schedule and reserve in advance. Pricing is $30 for adults; children aged 12 and younger are free.
